| Program Notes: | ...and stars will appear was written for some of my students - violinist Wyatt True, violist Jennifer Vaughan and cellist Sharleen Jirreh - to play with me in in Heinz Chapel on September 11th, 2003. It is a music of consolation that might be heard as a kind of quiet response to more impassioned works like Samuel Barber's Adagio. The music is encoded with a feeling of Time stretching before and after. |
